History

This stone church was designed by Peabody & Stearns. It suffered a fire on December 22, 1927, which required 10 months of rebuilding and repair. In honor of the congregation's centennial in 1956, new stained glass windows replaced the plain windows that were put in after the fire. Over the decades, resource and membership drops led the congregation to merge with Grace Church in June 2006. The building was purchased by another congregation called The King's Cathedral.
