Richardson and Hicks or the Bowen Building (1850) was the largest jewelry building in the city until the 1870s. The Fitzgerald Building built on Eddy Street between Friendship and Clifford Streets in the early 1870s surpassed it . Source Rhode Island Historical Society The building was demolished in the early 1960’s to make way for I-195.
