History

The Nickel Theater (the Dime Museum) once occupied this site. B.F. Keith's Vaudeville gave it the name of Keith's Opera House. According to Cady, the five-story faced crowned by a curved parapet, was designed in architectural terra cotta. The Albee Stock Company stopped performances in 1930.
