History

The church was designed by Reins and Lafarge and the cornerstone was laid on June 23, 1889. The exterior was completed and 136-foot tower was erected in 1897. The building was dedicated June 5, 1904. A complete renovation was conducted by F. Sturn Ecclesiastical Art Studio during 1933. Thirty-nine new stained glass windows were installed and the tower's interior was finished. Another interior renovation was completed in 1935 and the exterior was reworked and interior restored in 1964.
